A new generation of cSound scanners enable extraordinary processing capacity, in which the RF-data from all probe-to-system channels from an entire frame are received and temporarily stored in the Local Big Data Channel Memory, prior to reconstruction of the image. This then allows for the application of a variety of advanced Beamformer algorithms during image reconstruction, including True Confocal, which results in advanced image quality. Superior images empower you to diagnose with complete confidence, even with difficult to scan patients.
Delivering Even the Difficult Scans
Transthoracic Echocardiograms (TTE) may be inconclusive in 10-15% of cases1 due to the increasing number of difficult to scan patients, which leads to costly additional testing and frustration for the patient. This is especially true for patients with lung disease, obesity, or those who are in critical condition. For these patients, traditional hardware-based technology yields inconclusive results when supported by a limited set of information.
Reduce Time and Cost by Using Less Contrast
An evaluation of the clinical value and resource utilization impact of the system was completed at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York2. The study demonstrated that the utilization of cSound beamforming technology helped reduce the use of contrast agent, which can be avoided in 1 of 5 patients, a relative reduction of 49%.
This reduction in the use of contrast agent can improve workflow efficiency, help save exam time, reduce related cost and potentially the need for additional invasive follow up tests on a patient.

The Vivid S70N offers a 4D software package. This 4D package allows users to take advantage of 4D visualization and quantification features in addition to the outstanding 2D image mode.
The 4D TEE probe used here can be operated in both 4D and 2D modes and is compatible with the Vivid E series.

4D TEE imaging
The system provides an excellent overview of structures and functions in cases with high and/or irregular heart rhythm, independent of ECG-guided multi-beat acquisition.
Quantification.
4D echocardiography offers further numerous quantification tools to facilitate your daily routine and support you in diagnostics.

The Vivid S70N quickly gives you quantifiable information on a variety of different patients - even those with body types or conditions that make scanning difficult. GE Healthcare's XDclear probe technology is complemented by our new cSound platform to capture data from every channel of the probe.

Color Doppler Echography for Adults - The M5Sc-D Phased Array transducer for cardiac examinations combines the Matrix Array with high performance XDclear technology. At the same time, it offers enormous bandwidths and excellent image quality.

B-Flow is a digital imaging technique for visualizing vascular hemodynamics in real time. A subtraction technique is used that makes the echoes of the blood particles visible.

Auto EF – Based on a 2D speckle tracking algorithm, Auto EF supports measurement of the most commonly used parameters to describe left ventricular function.

Automated imaging functions - Assess and quantify left ventricular wall motion at rest using numerous measurements.

Auto LVQ - 4D Auto LVQ provides you with a quick and easy procedure for the TEE probe. It is designed to work with a 4D volume data set. Two clicks, two points, and the endocardial structure is defined. This quantification tool provides a graphical representation of the left ventricle using a mesh-based surface model.

FlexiSlice - Easily switch between volumes and layers in live or playback mode. Extracting 2D layers from 4D volumes can be a complicated process. FlexiSlice is a largely intuitive, interactive tool for obtaining many 2D views and displaying them in live or playback mode. You can use FlexiSlice to slice in all directions and easily select a view for projection as an image representation.
