2D Shear Wave Elastography
Quantitative tissue differentiation to enable confident decisions
Measuring tissue elasticity is helpful in diagnosing and monitoring treatment of patients with chronic liver disease and other conditions. The more reproducible the data, the greater the advantage in decision-making.
Our Solution
Designed to facilitate accurate diagnosis, two-dimensional shear wave elastography quantifies tissue elasticity and provides color-coded elastograms. This advanced tool helps reduce the need for invasive procedures and empowers clinicians to be more confident in their patient management decisions.

Auto-optimized images: The cSound™ Imageformer automatically and continuously delivers images of high quality across a wide range of clinical scenarios. Extraordinary images are quickly obtained resulting in efficient studies, particularly important in challenging cases.
Liver fibrosis staging – reference materials: Gain insights into liver fibrosis staging with a white paper and a reference chart.
Excellent frame rates: Rapid image acquisition enables a large region of tissue to be interrogated in with each transmission, reducing exam times and preventing image degradation.
Choice of high-performance probes: E-Series and XDclear™ probes deliver powerful, high fidelity and wide bandwidth for impressive deep penetration and high resolution.
Shear Wave Elastography Quality Indicator: Designed to increase clinicians confidence in the quality of the shear waves and, thus, the accuracy of the measurement.
Two-dimensional shear wave elastography enables quantitative assessment of tissue elasticity to assist in a growing range of applications.

Customizable worksheets: Optimize reading efficiency by tailoring worksheets to specific anatomical areas.
Auto Measurement Acquisition:Automated single - and multiple - acquisition workflow enhances efficiency and accuracy of exam acquisition and results display, supporting productivity in busy labs.
Multiple measurements: Measure multiple regions to access different tissue stiffness within an organ or region.
Flexible display options: User-programmable display of quantitative assessment of tissue stiffness in kilopascals (kPa), velocity (m/s), or both kPa and m/s with a choice of display formats.
Raw Data: Expanded dual-screen capabilities enable users to apply a wide variety of image processing and quantification after the exam. This allows the operator to extract and reanalyze information without extending exam time. Tissue characterization becomes even more efficient when 2D shear wave elastography is used in conjunction with such workflow enhancement tools as:
- Compare Assistant: Easily retrieve prior exams for side-by-side comparisons that assist in exam set-up and support confident diagnosis.
- Scan Assistant: Automates repetitive tasks measurements and helps standardize scanning protocols.
- Volume Navigation: Fuses prior PET, MR, CBCT, CT or 3D ultrasound exams with real-time ultrasound scanning to help correlate and evaluate information simultaneously.
UGAP
Ultrasound-guided Attenuation Parameter
UGAP is a real-time, image-guided method to quantify the attenuation of the sound wave in liver tissue, using a standard ultrasound probe to calculate the representative value of the signal through liver tissue.
Ultrasound attenuation is one of the important indicators for fatty liver evaluation. The prevalence of Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) and Steatohepatitis is growing worldwide with increasing obesity rates. A certain percentage of these patients will progres to liver cirrhosis and possibly hepatocellular carcinoma due to hepatocyte apoptosis, inflammation and fibrosis.
Liver biopsy has long been the method used for diagnosing steatosis, however, it is invasive. Appearance of the ultrasound B-Mode image is widely used for the qualitative detection of hepatic steatosis as it is known that attenuation increases with increasing amount of fat in the liver. UGAP is a non-invasive, quick and accurate method to quantify liver steatosis.

Contrast Enhanced Ultrasound

Visualise tissue vascularity with extraordinary details
Since lesions are often isoechoic, they can be difficult to detect and characterize using conventional ultrasound – making it challenging to diagnose conditions and monitor treatment.
Our Solution
Our Contrast agent imaging enables clinicians to get a clear picture of tissue structure and lesion vascularity by optimizing the balance between penetration and resolution for improved contrast sensitivity. This helps enhance the clinician’s ability to detect and characterize lesions.

Auto-optimized images: The cSound™ Imageformer automatically and continuously delivers images of high quality across a wide range of clinical scenarios. Extraordinary images are quickly obtained resulting in efficient studies, particularly important in technically challenging cases.
Amplitude Modulation (AM): This sophisticated, highly sensitive imaging technique combines excellent tissue suppression with outstanding penetration to enable excellent imaging, particularly in technically difficult patients.
AM/PI: Combined waveforms enable excellent spatial resolution, image uniformity and penetration.
Phase Inversion (PI): Multiple PI waveforms enable superb spatial and temporal resolution in a variety of clinical applications from abdominal to superficial examinations.
Choice of high-performance probes: Contrast agent imaging is supported on a wide range of probes for excellent clinical flexibility in abdominal, superficial, endocavitary, vascular, cardiac, and interventional imaging.
Time Intensity Curves (TIC): Using the raw data cine clip, clinicians can easily analyze the speed, intensity and dispersion of contrast microbubbles to assess wash-in/wash-out curves of multiple regions of interest.
Contrast Parametric Imaging: This raw data post-processing tool enables visualization of ?microbubble arrival times throughout the entire image. The resulting color-mapped image ?provides information that can help support accurate lesion characterization.
